Discovering how policy impacts the physical environment - literally, socially and perpetually.

Place. Plan. Perception.

A passion for the land.

From historic research to lobbying bills for tobacco tax to architecture tours of the Aspen Institute - Ann’s professional breadth reflects her passion for history, art, design, travel, landscape, and of course, perception.

Current projects, Exploration & Research.

It begins with an idea, a comment, a visual, something that catches you unexpectedly and something that may have greater impact than is apparent at first. Ann’s current work is a mix of social, physical, and scholarly efforts that explore these unexpected discoveries.

Completed projects.

Ann worked with some of the leading landscape architecture firms in the US before cofounding civitas in 1982 in Denver.  These completed projects are representative of that work.

“Eventually everything connects - people, ideas, objects. The quality of the connections is the key to quality per se.”

— Charles Eames
